High-level steps
- Confirm year/engine (LM2/LZO) and legal intended use (off-road/competition where required).
- Download and read the Polar Duramax 3.0 EGR PDF end-to-end.
- Disconnect battery / relieve coolant as directed; support the truck safely.
- Remove factory EGR path components per PDF; install Polar Diesel hardware in order.
- Refill/bleed coolant, check for leaks, complete required tuning, and verify configuration.
