What the CCV System Does
CCV (crankcase ventilation) manages pressure and vapours that build inside the engine as blow-by gases escape past the rings. Those vapours carry oil mist. On the 6.7 Powerstroke, the factory system typically routes that vapour back into the intake air path so it can be burned rather than vented openly.
